Calcium: Menopause can lead to calcium deficiency. Hence women should take larger than normal intake of calcium in the form of milk, curd, paneer and othe milk products, which are a greast source of calcium. Vitamin D is also necessary for assimilation of calcium. Any woman experiencing facing disorder symptoms at this time should supplement her daily diet with 1,000 units of natural vitamin D, 500 mg of magnesium, and obtain 2 gm of calcium daily. This can be attained by by drinking one litre of milk.
Beet Juice: Beet juice is very effective in menopausal disorders. It should be taken in small quantities, say around 60 to no ml atleast 2 times in a day.
Carrot Seeds: A teaspoon of carrot seeds should be boiled in a glass of milk for about 10-15 minutes and taken daily as medicine in the handling menopausal disorders.
Liquorice: Liquorice contains the natural female hormone, estrogen. One teaspoon of the powder should be taken every day. One of the effective home remedies for menopause.
To reduce hot flashes: Drink 8 glasses of steam-distilled water. Take 800 mg. of evening primerose oil, three times a day.
Proper Diet: Have lots of seeds, grains, nuts, fruits and vegetables. Diet is of greatest importance in menopausal disorders. Emphasize on vitamin E-rich foods, raw and sprouted . Avoid processed, refined, and denatured foods.
Exercises: Walking, swimming, jogging, cycling, horse riding are very helpful during this phase.
Avoid mental and emotional stresses. Dont worry about getting old.
Try to have an adequate amount of sleep and relaxation.
